The Eternal David

I wrote a final paper on the story of David for my college religion class. I am now reading the novelized version of his life in King David by Allan Massie. David played the kinnor (an Israelite lyre) for Saul to cure him of his madness. There is a scene at the beginning of the book where David tends to his flock under the starry sky while composing poetry.

The boy in this painting is based on a painting by Daniel Gerhartz.

Last but not the least, I have a cute little cousin in Romania called David. So this painting is for him!

Am scris examenul meu universitar final pe povestea lui David in biblie pentru cursul meu de religie. Acuma citesc versiunea novelizat despre viata lui in Regele David scris de Allan Massie. David a cantat pe un kinnor (o harpa Israelit) pentru regele Saul, care era bolnav. Este un paragrafa la inceputul cartii unde David are grija de oaie sub un cer plin de stele si aicia scrie poezi.
